Visual Design Trends for 2014 - Part 1
Written by Simon
2014 has brought with it some exciting and interesting new visual design trends. These strong and influencial movements define the web as we know it, so they are well worth a look.
We have picked but a handful for you to watch out for:
The first one being Diverse Women.People are wanting to see REAL women, of all shapes, sizes, races and ages. It shows that you/we/they are real people and not manufactured, that as a whole we take into account every type of person and dont put over stereotyped figures onto pedalstools. Make every feel welcome.
Beards, yes Beards are set to #trend in 2014. That scratchy stubble will grow into a visual representations of wisdom and masculinity (Simon will be happy).
Instagrammy Food Photos, people go mad for the now 'classic' food shot taken with an iPhone. Often a sign for good honest food or a particularly high quality or exciting and interesting peice of art. Playing on what people trust and associate with, if its easy to relate to and then people are more likely to trust the subject.
These are just a few examples of how visual trends going to effect 2014 - watch this space
